Alfred Bester, Babylon 5
Let me introduce you to Alfred Bester, named after the science fiction author.
Portrayed by Walter Koenig, of Star Trek fame. People laughed when he was cast, because he was known for being Chekov, who was essentially a laughable walking Soviet stereotype on the starship Enterprise… but then they saw what he could do, in a different role.
He played a manipulative, cunning telepath who always served his own agenda, always had a hidden motive, and had endless supplies of contempt and sarcasm. He was a pure joy to watch, even as you rather hated yet admired him.

I’m still laughing at Robin.
Tea Party Vs Occupy Wall Street
I love when some ignorant transgendered person thinks Maoism is their savior.
Based on what I know of Chinese history and what some of my Chinese friends from college tell me, under Mao, if your parents allowed you to get to the point of being an adult and transgendered, the Maoist government would not have helped in any way. Most probably, a transgendered person would have been killed.
tl;dr, I wish people could get their facts straight.
In light of the recent protests against NATO, I think that I should repost this video with words from one of my personal heroes, and one of the greatest presidents ever.
So, because I got appointed to the Academy, now I’ve started getting invitations to dinners, breakfasts, parties, etc. with senators and congressmen.
I hobnob with the uppercrust.
